Our Story
"We get by with a little help from our friends."
Super Heroes In Ripped Jeans was founded by Terra Butler. Through her years of work in animal shelters, she discovered an incredible demand in the community for low-cost spay and neuter programs, as well as assistance for those in need. She couldn't understand why no one was taking more action on the matter. A few years of pondering pushed our founder to step up and start a change herself. She gathered a small, but vital army of volunteers to help carry out the movement. We were officially established in the summer of 2017. Our volunteer group has grown immensely since then and we are so grateful. By teaming up together we are able to accomplish much more for the community. Super Heroes In Ripped Jeans's facility is located in Oneonta, NY. But we continue use of foster homes because we understand how important a home setting is for the animals's well being .

Low Cost Spay/Neuter
We provide transport free of charge to reasonably priced feline, spay and neuter facilities as far 2hrs out. Prices are at cost and for cats it is $25 for those that receive Medicaid or other types of assistance and $75 for everyone else.
Outreach Program
We travel into at need areas and provide food, flea preventative, affordable veterinary care, and other pertinent needs to caretakers and animals in need. This is done in hopes of decreasing the amount of animals being surrendered to animal shelters.
